Halloween!

Hello Everybody!

So it is Halloween! This past week, my house did a halloween themed chapter dinner, and everyone dressed up and it was so much fun! Also this week we had our first Date Dash! Thursday night we had our Halloween Date Dash, I went as Rapunzel :)
Here's a picture of me from before the Date Dash

I know, but Kendall you have brown hair! But, technically so does Rapunzel. Her hair goes from being blonde to brown, so I think it works that I have ombréd hair.
I just put it in a long side braid down the right side of my face.

So Here's What I did for my makeup!

I started out with applying the Maybelline Baby Skin primer just using my fingers.

then I applied my NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Punjab, I used the Expert Face brush from Real Techniques.

I covered up any spots, or discoulourations with my boi-ing by benefit concealer in shade 02, just patted it in with my fingers again.

I have quite oily eyelids, so I always have to prime them. I used the Shadow Insurance eye primer from Too Faced, again just patted it on with my fingers.

I put on my blush, whilst my eye primer dried. I used the Perfect Flush Blush in Candy Glow, it creates a really nice pink flush, using the contour brush from Real Techniques. Yeah and I know, that's not the brush's purpose, but it just fills the apples of my cheeks perfectly.

I used te NARS palette in Isolde which is a light and dark bronze duo.I decided to do these colours instead of purples, because I thought a more subtle and bronzy/gold look, was more appropriate for Rapunzel. Besides they reminded me of the lanterns :) I covered the entire lid in the lighter bronze and then used the darker  bronze in the outer corner, blended into the middle. I used the Base Shadow brush from Real Techniques, and the Crease/Blender brush from Too Faced, for the darker bronze. I then used Walk of Shame from my Naked Basics Palette on the brow bone using the Detailer brush from Real Techniques.

I then used my Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On eyeliner in Zero to line my upper lash line and my lower water line.

I curled my lashes with my Shu Umera Eyelash Curler, and I swear by it. I know it's more expensive, but I absolutely LOVE it.

I used the Maybelline the Falsies Waterproof Formula for my masacara. I just think this holds the curl in your lashes the best.

I filled my brows with Faint, a matte brown, also from my Naked Basics Palette, using the Brow brush from Real Techniques.

Lastly I used the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in shade 04 Sandstorm, using the Powder brush from Real Techniques.

Zoella Beauty Haul

Hello Everybody!

I got a wonderful parcel direct from the UK today! It was FULL of Zoella Beauty Products!

So, granted this isn't everything in her collection, I couldn't get the body mist or candle since they were out of stock :(

But I did get:
  • the cosmetic bags
  • the soak opera shower cream and bath soak
  • the creamy, madly, dreamy body lotion
  • and the fizz bar

Here's my review of the Zoella Beauty Products

I love the cosmetic bags, they are so useful, I keep loads of things in them, I have all my little fragrances in the pink one and I'm keeping the fizz bar and few other misc things in the tiffany blue one ;)

I absolutely love the smell of these products, its all very fresh and light and bright. I cant pin point exactly what the top notes are, I just know I LOVE them.

The soak opera leaves you feeling fresh and clean out of the shower, and finishing off the creamy, madly, dreamy makes your skin even softer.

I haven't used the fizz bar, since I live in a dorm, I dont exactly have a bath to use :/ ah well.

If you like anything out this haul you can purchase them at feelunique.com I will put the link below :)

Much love & Glitter

Anxiety, Stress, Panic Attacks, and How to Cope

Hello Everybody!

It's me again. So today I'd really like to take some time to speak about anxiety. Many people, including myself suffer with anxiety and panic attacks. I just want to say, that it's completely normal and ok.

When you are in a new place somewhere unfamiliar, or maybe a new situation, going to college for example. You may experience some anxiety, and that's ok. When I got here, I was fine and I wasn't having any anxiety or anything. But, after a few weeks, I had just begun to settle into life in college and I had a panic attack. I hadn't had one in a really long time I wasn't really expecting it so, it was far scarier than usual. It was not fun.

It occurred to me that so many people suffer with the same things I do, but a lot don't know what to do, or how to cope. So, I'm going to share the things and methods I use to cope.

For My Anxiety:
I usually have to keep my hands or mind busy/distracted when I'm feeling super anxious. I carry around silly putty, and I knead it in my hands and such when I'm feeling anxious. I just find it very therapeutic, and soothing. I also sometimes need to just take a break, I'll take some time, to calm down, chill out a little or something. I'll do something that makes me happy.

Tips to help manage anxiety and stress:

  • Get at least 8hrs of sleep each night, which I know can be very hard in college, and in general, but its so much more beneficial to get that sleep.
  • Eat well balanced meals, don't skip meals, and keep healthy energy boosting snacks on hand for when you're feeling peckish.
  • Take break. Just take ten minutes to chill out, listen to some music, meditate, etc.
  • Exercise often. Exercise is a great way to de-stress. Go for a walk outside, or go to the gym, dance around your room, whatever you fancy.
  • Laugh everyday. Even if it's at something stupid. Laughter is the best medicine.
When I'm Having a Panic Attack:
I don't particularly like panic attacks, they are not, or a joke. When a person is having a panic attack, their body goes into shock and panic.
Symptoms are:

  • Irregular heartbeat
  • Dizziness and lightheadedness
  • Shortness of breath
  • Choking sensations and nausea
  • Shaking and sweating
  • Fatigue and weakness
  • Chest pain and heartburn
  • Muscle spasms
  • Hot flashes or sudden chills
  • Tingling sensations in your extremities
  • A fear that you’re going crazy
  • A fear that you might die or be seriously ill

I know I do a lot of these things. In particular I feel like I'm dying, I hyperventilate, I get that tingling sensation in my hands, my heart beats at about a million miles an hour, and I get very dizzy or light headed. My panic attacks can last for hours if I cant get them under control, and they go for ages, then stop for a bit and start again. I typically like to have my dog with me, as she calms me down. But seeing as I'm college I don't have that option. Instead I'll go to my happy place. Yes, I know a happy place sounds absolutely ridiculous. But I promise it works. I shut my eyes, and imagine myself there. I take deep breaths and just focus on that happy place and how calm it is and I eventually can calm down.

Tips to help when having panic attacks:
  • Relax your muscles, find a comfortable position to sit or lay in.
  • Take deep breaths through your nose while counting to five. Keep a hand on your diaphragm (just above your stomach) and feel it expand as you take a deep breath to know that you are breathing deep enough.
  •  After counting to five release the deep breath slowly through your nose.
  • Next close your eyes, and focus on your toes. Curl them for a count of five then uncurl. Move on to your feet, contract the muscles tightly for a count of five then relax them.
  • Continue all the way up your body (calves, thighs, buttocks, stomach, chest, shoulders, neck, fingers, hands, and arms) all the way up to your face.
  • By the time you've gotten to your face you should be much more calm.
Another thing you could try when having a panic attack, as strange as it sounds, is go for a walk. The exercise will help relax your body. Sometimes the most basic of activities–like a walk through a quiet park, down a street you find relaxing, or anywhere that helps you take your mind off your anxiety–can be the best medicine. Light aerobic exercise also helps your body produce endorphins. And getting fresh air and sunshine can have a positive effect.

I hope this has helped someone. I'd like to think so, I don't know. But if you're worried about your anxiety and need to speak to somebody about it, but are worried they wont be able to help, try anyway. You might be surprised.

Much love & glitter

Ok, Here We Go Again.

Hello Everybody!

So even though I know, I'm really the only one who sees, this I'm going to do it again. I'm now in college, I've been here for about two months. And I'm rather happy. I went through sorority recruitment, and I pledged Tri Delta! I couldn't be happier being in Tri Delta, it was the best decision I Think I've ever made.

So I have had time for me to settle in college, and kind of get into the groove of things. It was definitely a big change from high school, and I really like it. I'm happy :) As I've said before, I attend the University of Arizona, I'm majoring in eSociety. Its essentially data analytics, through social media. I'm planning on double minoring in gender studies and theatre. But who knows if that'll stick. I might change four times. I'm only a freshman.

This is just my update, I think I'll be happier with this decision of blogging again :) Get ready for a halloween post at the end of the month, as well as some holiday craft tutorials and maybe some hair and make up as well. You never know.

Pip pip cheerio,

Monterey Bay Aquarium Endevour

Hello Everybody!

Whilst on holiday this past week I went to the aquarium!!! Which is one of my favourite places ever.
And I just thought I'd share a bit of my day with you all! I hope, you enjoy the fishy wonder and otter cuteness!

Here are a few of my favourites :)

Hope you enjoyed this little slice of my aquatic day!

Toodleloo, and I will see you very soon!

Collective Haul

Hello Everybody!

So I know I had said that I would post this last week but I never got the chance! So I have a triple haul for you. I have some homewares, some beauty related items, and some of my favourites, LUSH items (yay!).

So I think I'd like to start with ,my homewares. I went to Sur La Table with my Mum because she wanted some new placemats and napkins, she was growing tired of the ones we have. But, while wandering about I found a few things of my own, and before I new it I was at the register paying for it all.
So the first thing I bought was this super cute porcelain kitchen utensil container (holder, pot, jar?). I don't really know why I decided to buy it since I won't be living on my own anytime soon.... But it was just so cute. I thought in the mean time I can use it as a vase, or like to hold my hair brushes, and such.

I also bought four egg cups. I bought two with red and two with blue. And now I'm wondering if I should've gotten them all in red or all in blue.... Hmmmmm. Oh we'll they're super cute and I love toast and dippy egg and I was definitely looking for some new egg cups :)

I also found this really cute new coffee or tea or cocoa mug that I just thought was adorable. Besides, you can never have too many mugs.

On to the beauty department!
I went to the body shop and purchased their cleansing balm. I had used a friend's and fell in LOVE with it! I can't believe I had never bought or used it before!!! It smells so nice and it just works so well.

I also bought two born lippys in watermelon, and strawberry. These. Smell. So. Good. I just want to eat them. The watermelon, which is the one on the top, smells just like watermelon jolly ranchers. And the strawberry smells just like the hard boiled jam filled strawberry sweets I used to get when I was little. Absolutely obsessed with these. The strawberry give a really nice light pink tint to your lips with the watermelon goes on sheer.

My favourite bit!! LUSH.

So I was pretty much empty on my stash, and decided to do a bit of restocking of some basics.
I got three bath bombs, the Dragon's Egg, Blackberry, and Ickle Baby Bot. They all smell so lovely and nice.

I also got two limited edition bubble bars.
I purchased the Wonder Woman bubble bar, with their new and improved glitter, that is biodegradable and seaweed based so it no longer kills fish. :) I also got the rose bubble bar that I can't remember the name of now and that really bugs me, but it smells like you've walked straight into a rose garden. It's so nice.

Well I'm off! So I will see you all very soon!
Mwah!

Pamper Evening!

Hello Everybody!

So it has been a very stressful week so far and I really needed to relax. So I decided to have a bit of a pamper evening. I have run a bath, and I'm using the very last of my White Christmas Bath Box from LUSH. I know, I can't believe I lasted this long either. I've saved my favourite Christmas bath bomb until now which is the Luxary Lush Christmas Pud, and it makes your bath look like Ribena. It's so pretty!! And I've used my fairy wand bubble bar as well, because I just feel as though a pamper evening isn't complete with out some bubbles. :) I've also put a scoop of Epsom salts in to relax all my muscles. Ahhhhhhh, so relaxing.

I'm just going to lay in my bath with some Grey's Anatomy, my favourite candle, and use some grapefruit body butter from the body shop to make my skin extra soft after.

I hope this has inspired you to have a nice little de-stresser, or a pamper evening of your own. :)

Much love & glitter and I will see you very soon!

Where Has The Time Gone

Oh my goodness. Three months, give or take a few days, has literally flown by.

Since the last time you all heard from me, I have committed to the University of Arizona, gone through my school musical, taken my finals, graduated from high school, gone to orientation, registered for classes, and gone on holiday. Whew.

And I just feel awful. I have neglected this blog for three months. I also never did half of the things promised in my last post. :( I promise, I have got a post saved in my drafts on three super easy braided hair styles. I'm going to try and get that posted within the week. If I don't it will get posted by next week when I'm home from holiday.

I've also got a homeware/kitchenware haul soon. I went to Sur La Table, and found some absolutely perfect things.

So long for now,
Toodlepip.

Much love & Glitter,
Kendall xoxo

Ps. I'm thinking of changing the way I sign off from my blogs.... Might be trying some new things in e coming posts.

PPs. So've just looked over that drafted post, and there is no way I can post it this week. I don't have all the things I need due to me being on holiday. :( I'll try to do a haul this week.

Ickle Bitty Mid-Week Check In Thing

Heellloooooo Eveerrrryybodyyyy!!!!

I have got a lot of enthusiasm for someone who is very sleepy and trying very very hard to adjust to the spring forward in time... It's only an hour, I know, but still it's quite difficult to wake up at what feels like 5.30AM when you're used to getting up (essentially) and hour later. *insert sad frowny face here*

So I have some positivity from my life to yours today, and that is that, number one, I've gotten a little dance solo in "Be Our Guest" (EEP!) annnnnnnd my new character shoes came in!! Ok, so that last one was really only exciting if you are a theatre kid like myself. But it's exciting ok? And now for, drum roll pleeease!, number two! IM ABLE TO POST VIDEOS AGAIN!!! YAAAAAAY! IM SO EXCITED! CAN'T YOU TELL FROM THE CAPS LOCK THAT'S ON?! OHHHH YEEAAAAHHH. New videos coming your way.

Ok, so the videos that I will (FINALLY) be posting are (in no particular order):
The Accent Challenge
Basic Theatre MakeupTutorial (possibly closer to May)
Spring Lookbook (I'm super excited for this one)

On to my last little tid bit before I bid you all adieu. As you know, I have been applying to university and awaiting responses, before you all get super excited I have received any letters recently, BUT I will be receiving my response from my top choices by the end of the month! It's super exciting and nerve wracking all at once. I will keep you all posted. So far I have got two acceptances out of six, and ZERO rejections. :D

Much love & Glitter,

Little Makeup Haul & Other News

Hello Everybody!

First off, HAPPY MARCH!!! Second, I can't believe it's already March! I graduate in less than three months... what?! since when did that happen? Where did the school year go? what happened? Since when do I start university in the fall? This is all happening so fast. To be brutally honest, I'm quite scared. Granted I did know that once second semester starts the year whizzes by. I'm trying to make the most of the last half of my senior year. So, this year I am in the  school musical! We are doing Beauty & the Beast (eep!) I absolutely LOVE this show. I am playing one of the Silly Girls (one the three girls that are totally loved up with Gaston). I am super excited.

Okay, so at the weekend last, I went out to target with my mum to run some errands. I (as usual) went to the cosmetics section and found two gorgeously on sale palettes from Pixi.

I purchased these for $6.60 when originally priced $22.00 (YOWZA) super duper sale, yes yes yes. The palettes contain eight eye shadows and a blush, that one's in the middle.

I got one in more neutral shades, and one in more pinks and things. These were being clearances for spring and I jut couldn't resist. I mean, there's no such thing as too many palettes... right?

I think I shall be posting a tutorial with one of these quite soon.

Much love & Glitter,

Laptop Issues

Hello everybody!

So I have been having some problems with my MacBook. iMovie is not letting me edit my videos and Microsoft Word  keeps quitting every time I open the program. :/ This is quite frustrating, because it causes problems for me when doing school work and when I need to edit a video for my channel. I haven't been able to post because of that. (Sorry about that everyone) And, safari is just lagging sooooo much. Harrumph.

Turns out my startup disk is full!

So I've got to go through and see what I can get rid of and what I can move over to an external hard drive. This could take quite a while *sighs* then,if it still is lagging I've got to go to apple store.

I do hope that I can have my laptop running properly soon and get videos up soon. And for now I'm trying to do as much as I can on my tablet in google drive and on the blogger app.

Hopefully everything will work out soon!

Chinese New Year = New Cosmetics

Hello everybody!

So as I have mentioned in my about page, I am half Chinese. And Chinese New Year has come and gone. What is Chinese New Year? For all of you that do not know, it is the celebration of the new lunar year, and with that comes little red envelopes with money in them! So what did I do? Went to sephora naturally!

During my nice little excursion I was able to get (EEP!) the Naked 3 palette!!! *insert excited face here* I AM SO EXCITED TO USE IT! It's just so gorgeous and FULL of brilliant rose gold shades. I didn't even know it was possible to love makeup this much...

I also got two things that were nicely on sale. I purchased the Too Faced Jingle All the Way limited edition (Christmas only) palette. It's similar to their chocolate palette in the sense that the palette it's self is the size of an iPhone 5. It also came with this pretty pink and gold case for iPhone 5 (which I do have soooo new case for me!) although I am quite accident prone and don't think I'll be using that case anytime soon.

And the last item I got was the Sephora Collection, Glitter Eye and Primer Duo in gold. The primer in it isn't the best, but the shadow is great. Because it is a loose glitter you can control how much of it goes on your eye, and you can wear it WITHOUT looking like a showgirl! (HURRAH!)

So keep your eyes peeled you might just get a makeup tutorial soon on my YouTube channel! So head over there by clicking on YouTube in the links bar! And a lush haul possibly? Hmmmmmm. Look out for all of those and Happy (really late) Chinese New Year!

Much love & Glitter

SOTD

Hellos Everybody!

I've another SOTD (shoes of the day) for you all. I just got these a few days ago and today is the first day wearing them out! These are Kate Spade, and I got them on a major reduction at DSW (it's where you get those shoes! *wink*). And I absolutely LOVE THEM!

They are fuchsia plastic, with bow details on the toes with gold hardware. I you're thinking 'does that mean they're jelly flats?!' Yes. Yes it does. I have found a way to bring some of my 90s childhood into now. That's quite a rubbish picture I know.

The model of the shoe is the Jasper in Pink. I got them at a green sticker, which is I'm quite sure 40% off, off of $79.94. Not a bad deal I don't think.

Generally I would wear pink, or in this case fuchsia flats in spring. Which I did purchase them for this in mind. But I thought 'what the heck wear 'em now and bring a pop of colour to your winter apparel!'

Today I have paired them with a medium wash chambray button down shirt with sleeves cuffed 3/4, and a pair of black cable knit Capri leggings.

Much love & Glitter

Clean Brushes!

Hello everybody!

So I literally just finished cleaning ALL of my makeup brushes and let me be the first to say that that was long overdue. I haven't properly cleaned them in maybe over two weeks (Yikes!) and they were just looking so sad.

One thing about makeup brushes is that you absolutely HAVE to clean them. I know that I personally forget to clean my brushes ALL the time, and that's how I know that you guys for get too. A very convincing reason to clean your brushes regularly is that, they get dirty with oils from your skin, bacteria and other residues and can make you break out like crazy! So do yourself a favour and clean your brushes weekly, if not more. Especially if you wear makeup everyday. Even if it seems like a huge faff, and you've got loads of brushes, just do it. Your skin and brushes will thank you for it. *cute cartoon voice: thank you!* imagine that being your skin and/or brushes. :)

Your  makeup brushes will collect tons of bacteria and natural oils from your skin. Think about how much bacteria is on your skin everyday, then think of that doubling every time you use your dirty brushes (ew). Another pro to my lovely list of brush cleaning pros is that it will make your brushes softer. Old makeup can make your brushes feel scratchy which isn't so nice for your skin. And LAST but certainly not least it will make your brushes last longer!! If that doesn't convince I don't know what will! We invest so much in our brushes so therefore we should take care of them.

By cleaning your brushes you are removing:
- old makeup
- dirt and debris
- dead skin cells
- bacteria
- oils

Wash your brushes at night so that they dry while you sleep and are ready to use the next day. Or you can clean them directly after using them.

So, if you're not quite sure what to use....
Try these!

  • Brush Shampoo - Wet your brush in luke-warm (make sure the brush is saturated completely) water and put a small amount of shampoo onto a sponge or, your palm. Swirl the brush until its been nicely lathered up. Then rinse the brush and squish out the excess water and set it to dry on a towel.
  • Olive or Almond Oil - (Best for brushes that are heavily embedded with makeup. i.e. a brush that you use for gel liner.) To cleanse with oil, apply a small amount (you don't want your brushes soaked with oil) to a paper towel and swirl your DRY brush onto the towel. You just want enough to break down the makeup. Then rinse the brush and set it to dry.
  • Baby Shampoo or Dish Detergent - Wet your brush completely, again with luke-warm water, and apply your soap of choice onto a sponge and swirl until it's had a nice lather. Rinse, squish and dry.
  • Those Brush Cleansers in a Spritzy Bottle! - just spritz your brushes thoroughly and swirl on a clean towel (paper or otherwise) until the makeup is gone from the brush. These are really better for an everyday sort of use.
Here's a list of brush cleansers that I quite like.
  1. Elf Brush Shampoo
  2. Sephora Daily Brush Cleaner
  3. MAC Cosmetics Brush Cleaner
  4. Ben Nye Brush Cleaner (this was made for stage makeup so it works super well)
  5. Sonia Kashuk Brush  and Sponge Cleaner

Well I hope you have decided to clean your brushes if you haven't in quite a while or even ever. Make not just your makeup brushes but YOUR SKIN happy and clean away!

Much love & Glitter

The Lékué Macaron Kit

Hello everybody!

So I received this Lékué Macaron Kit as a VERY belated christmas gift, and decided to make some macarons! And I thought I'd do a little review for you all.

As you can see, it comes in this gorgeous packaging. On the lid it shows the contents of the kit, and when you open it the flaps are LITERALLY covered with pictures of delicious looking macarons.

The kit includes:
  • A piping unit/thing
  • A silicon baking mat with ridges to keep the macarons uniform and perfect in shape and size
  • Six piping tips
  • And a recipe a booklet!

So here we go, into the nitty gritty.

First off, I love that the kit includes a recipe booklet. It has wonderful recipes, and the first one is a basic macaron recipe which you can really customize to your hearts content. It also has recipes for Wasabi Macarons with Pistachio Filling, Tiramisu Macarons, Rose Macarons with Earl Grey Cream, Chocolate Macarons with Orange Cream, and Vanilla Macarons with Dark Chocolate Cream.
I made lavander macarons with a lavender cream cheese filling. And they were DELICIOUS.
I absolutely love the mat, it is a life saver. It makes keeping the macarons nice and uniform. You can put the mat directly on the rack in the oven, although It is silicon and a bit wobbly if put directly on rack; I put it on a baking sheet for more stability. I would recommend doing this.

Next, the piping unit. Now I call it a unit because I'm not really sure what to call it.  This is the only part of the kit that I was disappointed in. :( To use, you take off the top and scoop in the batter and pipe away! I found the piping unit/pouch/circle/sphere-thing very difficult to use. It was a full of batter and and I had to apply so much pressure to get out enough batter for just ONE circle on the mat. not only that but the batter would ooze out where the tip attaches to the unit, and a bit where the lid screws on. Not so much fun. My wrists were very sore after piping, and it was quite difficult to clean afterwards. It's definitely easier to pipe something that isn't as dense as macaron batter, but still easier use a piping bag.

All in all, I would (unfortunately) not recommend this kit. Mainly because the piping unit was SO difficult to use. I loved everything else about it. The best part about the entire kit is really and truly the mat, because it has the ridges to keep the batter from oozing all together, so your macarons will turn out perfect every time.

Even though this kit isn't great there are others out there that you can use, OR you could go ahead and just use parchment and a baking sheet with a piping bag. And even then you don't need a piping bag, all you really need a big zip top bag and to cut a 1cm opening ( not until you've filled the bag) in one of the corners and there you have a homemade piping bag! Macarons aren't really that hard to make, they're just a bit tedious. And the best part is that you can make them for less than how much you would pay in a shop.

So, I hope this has inspired you to make some macarons yourself!

Much love & Glitter

Five Minute Makeup!

Hello everybody!

Today I'm going to share my five minute makeup! Yes you read that right, only five minutes.

I've found myself running out of the house a bit rushed as of late and I've only had so much time for make up. So here's my five minute make-up routine for you all!

First apply some concealer under your eyes to conceal any dark circles and puffiness. I'm using the Garnier Nutrisse, anti-dark circle roller, it's just like their anti-puff eye roller but with concealer! I'm just rolling it three to four times under my eyes and patting it in with my C-shaped foundation brush.

Next I'm using my boi-ing concealer from Benefit Cosmetics to cover any blemishes I might have. I absolutely LOVE this concealer. It covers everything! It is a higher end concealer, but it is amazing. Feel free to use whatever you have! Just pat in your concealer with your fingers.

Now I'm going to apply a BB cream, I am going to use the Garnier BB Cream in shade light medium. If you can't find this one, I also like the maybelline BB Cream, or if you prefer a high end option the Dior BB Cream is really nice and has SPF 30, which is quite rare to find in BB creams.
Another nice thing about BB cream is that you don't need brush to apply it! Just apply your BB Cream with your fingers evenly, also make sure to go just below your jaw line so you don't get that weird shadow, that let's people know you're wearing foundation.

To add a bit of colour to my face I'm using a e.l.f. cheek stain/highlight in a shade called persimmon. It's a really nice peachy pink, that just add a gorgeous warm, peachy glow. It's great if you just want something simple or understated.
Just do two brief swipes on the apples of your cheeks (smile, and where your cheeks rise and those are the apples!) and rub it in with your fingers in a circular motion.

EYE TIME!
I'm using my Pixi Endlessly Silky Eye Pen in Black Cocoa, it's a really nice dark brown. Just line your upper lash line as close to you lash line as you can. You can also smudge it a bit for a slightly smokey effect if you like.

Next I'm using my Maybelline the Falsies Volume Express mascara, in Black Drama. I am IN LOVE with this mascara. I wasn't really that thrilled at first, but then I used it again and it's just magnificent. It keeps my lashes curled and gives just the right amount of volume and lengthening.

And LASTLY I'm just going to powder my T-zone with my Laura Mercier mineral powder, you can use whatever you have. if you are using a loose mineral powder there should be some powder residue  in the lid and that is all you need, just swirl your powder brush in the lid and brush across you forehead, nose, and chin.

Just add a bit of any kind of lip product you like and that's it! You're done! Makeup done in five minutes.

I hope you enjoyed my five minute makeup.

Finals Week Pick-Me/You-Up

Hello everybody!

So today marks the beginning my schools mid-year finals. And I thought what better way to make this week a little bit better than by making chocolate chip cookies! XD YUMMMM

Right about now is when I'm feeling the pressure, and I know that all I need to do, is relax, and stop freaking out. And the best way to de-stress and relax is to make some chocolate chip cookies. And maybe eat some too ;)

This is my favourite chocolate chip recipe, in fact it's my go to recipe. So I thought I'd share it with all if you!

Now, this recipe is in metric measurements, I find these are more accurate, but it can easily be converted to US Standard. But, if you have a food scale then there's no need to convert!

Kendallina's Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies:

Recipe-
225g of plain all-purpose flour
80g soft light brown sugar
80g of granulated (caster) sugar
150g of softened salted butter
1 large egg
2 tsp of vanilla
1/2 tsp of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda)
1/4 tsp of salt
150-200g of plain chocolate chips to your liking.

Makes about 50 cookies

Method-
Preheat oven to 375F (190C)

Cream the butter and sugars together until fluffy.
Then add egg and vanilla, mix until just combined.

Sieve in flour, bicarbonate
(baking soda), salt and add chocolate and combine.

Scoop table spoonfuls of dough well apart (aprox. 2in or 5cm) and bake for 9-10 mins.

Allow to firm on baking sheet then transfer to cooling rack and enjoy!

Whether your taking finals or not, or you're just having a stressful day or week nothing makes you feel better than a nice warm, homemade, chocolate chip cookie.  I hope this has made your week a little bit better! I know it's done mine. :)
